Transportation

Transportation throughout OC. We have learned that getting around by car can be difficult in the summer months. Below are a few options to get around.

Bus

  • Coastal Highway Beach Bus – This is the easiest and best option. The bus runs from 1st street in the south the 144th street in the north. The cost is $3 for all day, as many rides as you like. You can also view realtime info on bus locations from the TransLoc app or from the pc at https://oct.transloc.com/
  • Boardwalk Tram – For me this is the most annoying mode of transportation in OC. It takes up half the boardwalk as it goes by pushing people off to the sides making it difficult to get by in the crowds. Saying that, it is a good way for the handicap and elderly to enjoy the boardwalk. The tram that goes from the south end to the north end of the boardwalk. The cost is $4 per ticket per boarding, one way ride. Sold at the north and south tram ticket booths and on any Tram.
  • West Ocean City Park-N-Ride Beach Bus – I have no experience with this service

Water

  • OC Bay Hopper – This is a great way to get to numerous locations throughout OC. They also offer an on-demand service. Of course this is a more expensive alternative as you are using the water ways to travel and not the streets. I do enjoy enjoy using this service because I get to enjoy the water while I get to my destination. Cost changes depending on the service you are looking for, on-demand, or destination.
